Dog the Bounty Hunter: Dog's Son, Tucker Chapman Back in the Slammer

"Instant Karma's gonna get you."
--John Lennon song

DBKP has just learned that Tucker Chapman, the son of Duane "Dog" Chapman who, many contend, sold out his TV star father, has been arrested for violating multiple terms of his parole.

Drugs and associating with know felons are reportedly the causes for his return to the slammer. An earlier mention of blackmail could not be substantiated at this time.

Tucker Chapman sold the tape to the National Enquirer of his father uttering a racial slur during a perceived private phone conversation.

"Dog the Bounty Hunter" was pulled from the A & E Networks line-up, the show suspended, and in the aftermath, many of the shows fans were none too happy with Tucker Chapman and his girlfriend, Monique Shinnery.
A spokeswoman for the Bounty Hunter and his family this morning confirmed the arrest, which was first reported by TMZ. The TMZ report said Tucker Chapman is at the Oahu Community Correctional Center.

Mona Wood, spokeswoman for Duane and Beth Chapman, said the couple is currently in Los Angeles and will return to Honolulu this week and are not planning further interviews.

Duane Chapman said after he learned that his own son sold the taped conversation to the Enquirer, that "he still loved his son."
Excerpts from TMZ report about Tucker Chapman follow:

Here's what went down: Our sources say two weeks after the tape surfaced, Dog learned Tucker was using drugs and threatened to expose him to his parole officer. Then the tape dropped -- interesting timing.

After that, we're told, a parole officer made Tucker check in to a rehab facility, which, we hear, Tucker walked away from.

Sources tell us Tucker's parole officer executed a surprise home inspection this week, and didn't like what he found. The PO then brought Tucker in on Friday, revoked his parole and sent him to the slammer. Among his alleged violations -- associating with known felons, failing a drug test and walking away from a rehab facility.

TMZ also released a statement it said received from Dog Chapman: "I am heartbroken that this has occurred, but I am relieved that my son in now in a place where he can no longer hurt himself. To my bruddahs in the system: please don't hurt my son as he knows not what he does. I love my son and wish him the best."

Last week, A & E announced that the popular "Dog the Bounty Hunter" was back in production and new episodes would be airing later this year.

The Bounty Hunter has been about second chances and he was ready for his. Production was supposed to restart this week, according to TMZ.

So, "Dog the Bounty Hunter" is back in production.

And, Tucker Chapman is back in jail.

And that's as it should be, according to many fans of the TV reality series.
