America breathes a collective sigh of relief. Conservatives rejoice also, anticipating a long awaited break from 'All Obama, All The Time.' Alas, it is not to be.

Obama continues to dominate the old media, with 24/7 coverage of his every utterance. Talking heads ruminate endlessly and in depth, on the 'historic' tour just completed by their new president in waiting. With the appropriate oohs and aahs, our old media elites expound on Obama's gravitas, his presidential appearance, his new foreign experience which, coincidentally, Obama states, has confirmed all his preconceptions about Iraq and Afghanistan. How utterly prescient!

Obama, like many on the left, inhabits a world occupied solely with like-minded individuals. Having spent his whole life in the company of socialist and Marxists activists, liberal academics and fellow elites, Obama has made the all too common mistake of believing that his world view is the only one. The correct one. Hence, his surprise was undoubtedly as great as CNN's Christiane Amampour's, when she abjectly reported that she was "surprised by the lack of euphoria" following his 'historic' speech.

Missing from Obama's body of knowledge and experience is any semblance of appreciation for the fully half of Americans who have never inhabited his world. Those pesky conservatives. The right-wing nuts who cling to their guns and Bibles out of a sense of desperation. The idiots who believe global warming is not man-made and the outdated traditionalists who favor free market solutions over government solutions.

You know the type, the ones that are offended that Obama removed the American flag from his campaign plane before jetting off to kow-tow to Europe and condescend to Iraq. The ones that resent the man from nowhere who has the audacity, if not the credentials, to lecture the world on proper behaviour. The ones that dare to question the lies, oops, I mean spin, that issues forth from camp Obama daily.

The latest kerfluffle involves questions about why Obama chose to work out at the Ritz instead of visiting with the troops. Conservatives have the audacity to suggest it was because the military wouldn't allow Obama to bring photographers with him to record his close ties with America's soldiers. You know, the American warriors that are responsible for the very freedoms Obama broadly assigns to the world. No photo op, no visit from on high.



There are even those on the right that dare question the Obama camp's estimate of the reported 200,000 that gathered to hear his Berlin speech. The attendance figures reported by German public television ZDF were 20,000, not the 200,000 figure the Obama camp gave to a complaisant media. Some Americans were even rude enough to question why no American flag was present during Obama's 'historic' Berlin speech.

Adding insult to injury, right-wing bad boy, John Bolton, had the temerity to suggest, "The successes Obama refers to in his speech - the defeat of Nazism, the Berlin airlift and the collapse of communism - were all gained by strong alliances defeating determined opponents of freedom, not by 'one-worlders'."

To top it off, right-wing bloggers actually fact-checked his speech. In a direct assault on Obama's self-anointed right to fashion reality according to his own whim, a London paper found several 'misstatements' (that's liberalspeak for lies) in his historic speech. The audacity!

Ignoring any views that don't conform to his own grandiose view of himself, this 'lightly accomplished one-term senator, a former state legislator from Illinois, a Harvard graduate who has no substantive records of accomplishments' has instructed his aides to start planning his presidential transition.

Nothing in Obama's life has prepared him for the defeat he is bound to suffer come November. All because his pollsters, his advisors and his wife neglected to remind him that all the adulation in the world means squat unless followed up with a vote and, unfortunately, the adoring throngs in Europe can't vote, yet.

Obama has managed to alienate increasing numbers of oh so ordinary Americans who do vote. Like the average American who is more impressed with actions than words. Like the little people who work hard, play by the rules, love God and country and know instinctively that expertise with teleprompters does not a leader make.

The average Joe wants a president who is a citizen of America, not a citizen of the world. They most certainly don't want a president who apologizes for his own country in foreign lands. Even the unsophisticated guy in flyover country knows better than Obama that relying on the old media for accurate information on how Americans think and feel is a fool's game.

Obama will be genuinely surprised when McCain is elected president in November - a presidency that Obama has already claimed as his own. He will undoubtedly question how McCain could have won when Obama doesn't even know a single person who voted for him.

All those meanies on the right have to do is continue to give the Big O more rope.

Red Planet Cartoons' latest theme is one that will surprise Eco-Weenies: Western Civilization's baby bust.

While eco-warriors are preaching the many ill-effects that humans have on Mother Earth, RPC demonstrates that Earth Firsters might have too many trees in front of them to see a barren, Western Civ forest.

Around the time that President Kennedy went to Germany and gave his “Ich bin ein Berliner” speech, Europe represented 12.5 percent of the world’s population. Today it is 7.2 percent, and if current trends continue, by 2050 only 5 percent of the world will be European.

As Mark Steyn, the Paul Revere of Western Demographic Decline, points out in recent Wall Street Journal article, It's the Demography, Stupid, "In 1970, the developed world had twice as big a share of the global population as the Muslim world: 30% to 15%. By 2000, they were the same: each had about 20%."

Can these trends continue for another 30 years without having consequences? Europe by the end of this century will be a continent after the neutron bomb: The grand buildings will still be standing, but the people who built them will be gone. We are living through a remarkable period: the self-extinction of the races who, for good or ill, shaped the modern world.

Though Steyn is best-known for his chronicling the abysmally-low fertility rates of Western Europe in 2005's best-seller, America Alone, he was not the first.

Phillip Longman's 2004 article for Foreign Affairs, The Global Baby Bust, put the problem in front of many readers for the first time. In it, Longman documents falling fertility, not only in Europe, but also other countries traditionally associated with high birth rates.

By some estimates, the world's fertility will fall below replacement levels by 2050, if present trends continue.

Which ought to send Al Gore into a fit of ecstasy: with less drivers, there will be less pollution from less cars.

And less people to notice any difference.

Petition to Ban Islam to be Presented to World Court

We got an email within the last hour, notifying us that there was a petition to Ban Islam, "that will be presented to the World Court".

It was signed by "Mystic".

It has been pointed out to us that "this will only make the moderate Muslims mad" and also that "you can't fight people who blow themselves up with petitions".

That may very well be.

Or, It might be a desperate attempt to "work through the system".

But, there's something to be said about ingenuity and PR, and we'd guess that's what the petition is apt to get: attention.

Attention to what some feel is a growing problem in some sectors of Europe.

Whatever it's intent, a copy of the petition's wording is presented below, as well as some links for anyone interested in signing it.

One-Way Multiculturalism

A serious examination of the connection between multiculturalism, societal suicide and rising anti-semitism in the United Kingdom is overdue.

Red Planets Cartoons steps up to the plate and delivers a case study.

Modern polling methods and the use of focus groups give their users instant information. But in the case of Great Britain, where issues of multiculturalism is concerned, the information can't be found.

The elites in the U.K. and all over Europe still practice the art of the tin ear on non-assimilated immigrants and unrest in their societies as a result. The information being has no trouble being digested in the streets--outside the halls of power.

In the coming showdown, one side will feature the ordinary citizens of many European countries. The other side will consist of smug political elites, the forces of multiculturalism and others eager to use the opportunity to increase their power.

A recent discussion in the blogosphere centers around the parties that have arisen to speak for the people in the streets: the native Europeans remaining in their countries while their countrymen flee to safer, more settled locales.

The discussion is about the purity of these parties and the unsavory elements associating themselves with the dissent. In many cases, those elements are Neo-Nazi and White Supremacist in nature. The ultra-nationalists are using the unrest to infiltrate legitimate political movements.

In that coming struggle, this scenario seems likely: the ordinary people, frightened by what they see and the lack of response by their elected leaders, will turn in desperation to any who promise help.

If history and current events are any guide, that help will come in jackboots. Neo-Nazis are on the rise in Europe. Truly, the people of Europe are caught between two bad situations.

If no middle ground is staked out by their leaders, there soon may not be any middle ground to claim. A serious examination of where multicultural obsession is leading Great Britain and Europe is overdue.

If the political elites won't conduct that examination, Neo-Nazis and others like them will.

What is that Odin's cross doing on his shelf at the end of the video, I asked myself? I know when I see it that is only used by two groups of people, Neo-Pagans and White Power groups. This is not an old clip, this is very recent.

That statue is in his HOME, on his shelf. IN HIS HOME.

The camera lingers on it intentionally.

This statue on his shelf in his personal study is symbolic of who he is.
There are not lots of knickknacks there, he is not a collector, there is only this one item.
Why?
Because it is of monumental import to him personally and he cherishes it.Filip DeWinter was born in Flanders on 11 September 1962 as Philip DeWinter.

To appear "more Flemish" he later changes the spelling of his first name to Filip.

The former president of the Flemish Socialists, Franck Vandenbroucke, will say of him:
"DeWinter is an authentic Nazi" and Louis Tobbak, former minister SP of the Interior, will add: DeWinter is "a psychopath" (quotations extracted the book "Vlaams Blok" by Hugo Gijsels, 1994)

At the end of the seventies DeWinter joins the Jongerenfront or young people front, the Flemish version of the Front de la Jeunesse .

Jongerenfront is at that time in Flanders allied with the Face of Youth (FJ), a group of neo fascist students related to the CEPIC .

Mosques Sell Hate LiteratureThe UK Government is Confused Neo-Nazi Groups on the Rise?Related Stories in Great Britain

Troubling news in the air from Europe and particularly Great Britain.

Two articles are published on the same day in Great Britain. One details how the vilest of hate literature is being sold in mosques in England. The other relates the UK government's indifference or ignorance or both to some suspicious related activities. Neo-Nazi groups are on the move in Europe. Could their rise in England be far behind?

First, reporting on the hate literature distributed in English mosques from the Times Online:

Books calling for the beheading of lapsed Muslims, ordering women to remain indoors and forbidding interfaith marriage are being sold inside some of Britain’s leading mosques, according to research seen by The Times.

Some of the fundamentalist works were found at the bookshop in the London Central mosque in Regent’s Park, which is funded by the Saudi regime and is regularly visited by government ministers. Its director, Ahmad al-Dubayan, is also a Saudi diplomat and was among those greeting King Abdullah when he arrived in Britain last night for his official state visit.

Extremist literature, including passages supporting the stoning of adulterers and waging violent jihad, was also found on sale at many other mosques regarded as mainstream institutions.

Next, Member of Parliment, Paul Goodman writes about the confusion in the ranks of those watching out for the U.K.'s security here:

Tablighi Jamaat is a controversial organisation which wants to build a large mosque close to the site of the 2012 Olympic stadium. Its critics claim that it’s associated with extremism and terrorism. Ministers may have a view on these claims – but, if so, won’t say what it is.

After relating his experiences with trying to obtain some answers to the government's policy--or lack of it--he comes to a few conclusions.

First, that Ministers may nor may not have a view on whether Tablighi Jamaat is associated with extremism or terrorism.

Second, that if they believe that Tablighi Jamaat is associated with either or both, they’ve none the less not proscribed it.

Third, that they won’t say anything about anything.

And fourth, that no inference is to be drawn from the fact that they won’t say anything about anything.

Both present a troubling view: both for those practicing the commerce in hate and those who are supposed to be policing this sort of thing. It also ought to give pause to the legions who rush to condemn anyone asking questions about this sort of thing. But it probably won't.

The rise of hard-core reactionary parties throughout Europe is one result of political elites not addressing the problem of immigrants who refuse to assimilate in the societies they've chosen to live in. As long as the elites refuse to address these problems, there will be those who fill the void. This helps explain the resurgence in popularity in European White Supremacist and Neo-Nazi groups recently. Look for a similar rise in unsavory groups in Great Britain to fill the leadership void on this issue.

Meanwhile, the steady stream of British who choose to leave the island and emigrate to saner, hopefully-safer climes, continues.

Who can blame them?
